Ice Geometry
An early image that fits the topic “winter” quite well.
Those with a more technical photography-background might be able to tell that I’ve been thinking about view-cameras lately. Ideally I’d like to build one myself, but I know that I’ll never be able to machine all the parts properly…
The image is very sharp, which you might find surprising by simply looking at the metadata: Canon 10D, 28-105/3.5-4.5 at 105 mm, 1/100″, f/4.5, ISO 200, handheld. I loved that lens on a film body, but with a 1.6 crop-factor it turns into 45-168, which I found impractical. When I gave up my film equipment, I also sold that lens, but if I ever get a fill-frame digital body, I’ll sure add the 28-105/3.5-4.5 II to my arsenal again.
